I'm staying up all night.
It's 5AM, I plan on taking a shower at 6AM, going to get some breakfast, then going into work.
I've been consistently going to bed at 3AM, feeling fuckawful. Hopefully this gets me to bed before midnight, and I can have a proper sleep schedule.

No, the 3 ticket in 12 month thing. 2 were speeding, but not egregiously, I was in clear conditions, good weather, with basically no traffic, driving to a conference 4 hours away. I was over the speed limit (65), but not driving recklessly or anything.
Bam, speed trap.
The next fucking day, on the way back, I'm on some state highway in Indiana, going the speed of traffic, but because I'm the tail car, going like 55-60 in a 45 got me another ticket.
Then, some other time, maybe 100 yards from where I lived at the time was a stop sign. I was tired, it was late, and the small town cops got me apparently rolling a bit too much through it, bam.
I didn't know about the three ticket in 12 month thing either, it never happened before.
So what does she do, since I have to go to school/work, and my stepdaughters have to go back and forth to school? Since I have the more flexible schedule, I drive them. On a suspended license. Becuase its a little bit more convenient.
I've driven like a saint since all this happened, then got pulled over for "pulling too far forward at a stop sign'. bullshit, the guy had someone with him, I was a training OP.
So, now I have a ticket for driving w/ a suspended license.
Which according to her, is completely my fault, even though I didn't really want to keep driving with no legal license.
Every time I drove, I had to worry that if some fuck hit me, I would get in serious trouble.
So this morning, she starts bitching about it, aarghhhhhh. fuck.

Yeah but in the case of a speed trap he was probably in a 65 zone that tuned down to 50 or 55 for about 1/8th of a mile and that can happen to anyone. It's fucking bullshit too.

If I thought there was any equity in traffic laws, I'd feel differently, but it's bullshit. All the time I've been driving w/ a suspended license (the past 2 months or so) I've almost been hit about 6 times, had people weave around me in traffic at high speeds, tailgate me, etc. I don't do that shit, I didn't do that shit when I had a valid license. Yet, those fuckers can legally drive, and I have to pay hundreds of dollars to the great state of Illinois because I drove at an entirely manageable velocity.

Look, self-righteous prick, if traffic laws were even remotely equitable, then I would have some understanding. As it is, it's a revenue stream for local municipalities. It's bullshit. Not that mine happened there, but living close, I know that many tiny municipalities in St. Louis that receive 49.9% of their total revenue from tickets. Why? Because getting more is illegal. Tell me how an incentive like that isn't misapplied.
And no, I didn't know the speed trap shit because I was out of state for a regional conference in Indiana.
