I guess he's going to be called Omni Boy? Not sure I'm digging the blue and black. The yellow contrasted so much better. He just sort of looks like Nightwing now. I'm sure it will grow on me, but I just wish a new issue would come out. It feels like forever since the last one came out and we keep seeing more new covers for stuff that probably won't com eout for another half a year or more. It just makes me sad. =(
The Space Rider was introduced back when Invincible realized that his father's books were actually descriptions of the various encounters with aliens who were dangerous to the Viltrumite empire. The Space Rider had a gun that fired unstoppable destructive beams that were so powerful that every one ever fired was still traveling unabated through the cosmos.
I wanna see Ottley draw it before I say anything final.
But going on that, I liked the old costume better.
That's pretty much my take on it too. Very Nightwingish.
Well, he is a Grayson

I just hope they're not planning on getting too serious with the book... I like that Kirkman has walking dead for his serious work, and invincible for his popcorn superhero work, and he keeps them separate. I don't want to see invincible doing anything other than cracking jokes, fighting ridiculous DC knock-offs, and akwardly hooking up with eve.
Also, the little brother better get his ass kicked within the first three issues.
You should go back and check it out. I initially skipped over it as well until I was checking out the extras in the back of the third hardcover where Kirkman revealed that
Hey, thanks for telling me how to post and everything but I'm probably just going to do it how I like instead of how you like. Thanks for your understanding in advance.
The last issue of Invincible shipped, according to ImageComics.com, August 22nd.
Yeah, I'm not really sold on the new look. It's just different enough to be kind of distracting, without really doing anything new. It almost looks too simple, whereas his original looked really distinct. It's not a huge deal, but I don't see why it needed to be messed with. Guess I'll just have to wait and see what prompts the change.
WTF? Did anyone see the Image previews over at Newsarama for this week's issue? If you haven't, avoid it. There's a pretty big spoiler in one of the images that I'm pissed I saw. I honestly can't believe they fucking did that. I know it's not the end of hte world, but still, when they post shit like that it's annoying as hell. I don't see how it will improve sales by spoiling the issue for the fans before hand. It won't bring in anyone that has no idea what is going on in the first place, so I'm not sure what they were trying to prove with it.
edit: just for clarification, this isn't some huge reveal like with issue 12 or anything, but still something that was quite shocking to me. It probably ranks a little higher than the Countdown spoiling Sinestro Corps War endings but not as high as somethign like Invincible 12. That said, I regret having seen it, so take that for what you will.
Uh, not to come across as a dick or anything, but if you didn't see that coming from a mile away, you're pretty dense. Honestly, Kirkman even admitted it several times in the letters column in the back of the book.

I don't get what you mean by "too serious" in this book. I mean,
Mark's mother fell into depression after his father left, the motherfucker fights for his life all the time in huge bloody battles, a college friend of his was kidnapped and lost his organic body, Angstrom Levy broke mark's mom's arm, etc.
Pretty serious shit happens in this book from time to time and it's some of the best stuff in this comic, it's not like Invinvible is standing around eating pepperoni pizza and playing video games.
Anyways, so when the fuck is the next issue out? Why does it feel like it's been forever?

Doesn't look like it. Oliver doesn't look too much older in that picture.
Oh yeah, and he ages really fast too.
I wonder what this new beginning entails, then.

That's pretty much my take on it too. Very Nightwingish. The old costume had a more distinctive color scheme.
Incidentally, they never delivered on that acne promise.

That's the reason there's a signature spot in your profile.
How long has it been since the last issue, anyway?

And the new costume? Not so great. But it could be worse.
if we're talking about Ted it's like everything Barbara Gordon dreams of
