I saw kids as young as not-yet-born, and folks as old as I-done-shattered-my-hip. I even saw one guy who looked to be in his late 50s in an enforcer shirt.
One kid (probably around eleven) persuaded his family to take him there for his birthday in place of getting a gamecube title, so I did 'em a favor and unlocked all the stuff in Smash Brothers with my memory card. They had a blast.
I'm not sure how old the median age of Team Axxiom was, but they were young, and they kicked some serious ass at Halo 2. I was in awe at these's kids skills. Just one more reason PAX is like a summer camp/family reunion.
hm...i'm really contemplating going next year. i live in NYC, and i turned 16 a couple weeks ago. so i should be 17 by the next PAX. but now i need to figure out how to get there.

Time for a job and PAX-savings adventure. GOOD LUCK!
The youngest person that I hung out with was 15. He was a cool guy, and if it hadn't been brought up, I honestly doubt most people would have noticed his age.

I talked to a group of guys in line who were like 18 and 19. There was this 11-year-old and I who figured out how to skateboard on a crushed bus at the Hulk GameCube demo station in the Exhibitor's Hall - he was probably the youngest one I saw running around who wasn't actually attached to a parent.
Why?

I was 22 and I made a bitchin friend there that turned 21 on Saturday so he was almost kicked out of the Turbine party for being 1.5 hours behind legal, but we have ways...
I'm 20, which is just below the average age I'd say.
I saw a couple young teens (12-13) in the tourny room during Mario Kart. Don't know if they had a parent or not, but they seemed pretty cool regardless.

You should hook up with some other east coast people maybe we could get a discount. Plus it would be like a East Coast Supertrip, except all the gas money. I tried to start something like this before PAX05 but it didn't fly. I ended up going by my self.
My group consisted of a fifteen-and-a-half year old, and two sixteen year olds.
Doubt anybody really judged us or anything, not like we were obnoxious or some shit.
However, did anybody see the kid in the UT2k4 tournament who made it past the first round? He didn't even come up to my waist, that kid must have been below 10 years old or something.

I'm guessing Xenocide Geek is GenocideGeek, the guy who put me out in the second round. Congrats once again.
That kid turned out to be 12. I guess he's just a bit short for his age, but I'm sure he'll hit a growth spurt soon and make his parents pay out the nose for new clothes.
I felt old when I was at PAX. It was a weird feeling. I also felt like I was one of the only few who had seen female genitalia past birth. I'm 24.
I'm 30. There were a couple guys there who were clearly older than me (they looked 50+). But I think I was at least 2 standard deviations from the mean.

are you guys still doing the PAX East Coast Supertrip 06? i hope you aren't going to drive across the country. it seems unnecessary. i figured the East Coasters could be like a PAX guild. we will overtake the expo and reign supreme!
My kids are the same age as many of the PAX participants. Next year they all want to come. That's going to be interesting to keep track of, that's for sure.

I'm 19 today, was 18 at PAX (happy birthday to me!) my friend was 18 then, is still 18, and the awesome kids we met were about our age as well (<3 all you guys!)

They cast a shadow like a sundial in the morning light. It was half past 10.

He was very cool. He hung with us just fine.

Yeah, that's me. Cool about the kid, he didn't seem obnoxious, was pretty quiet. Might have just been shy, though.

Well a east coast super trip drive sounds like a trmendous waste of time and money. Not to mention a great oppertunity to get lost. I was thinking more of a meet up at the air port or a couple days ahead and then we all board the same plane etc. This would have to be orchestrated/coordinated well in advance since some of us would like to get as large of a discount as possible on the early purchases of plane tickets.
Oh, I count casual gamers like that. Otherwise I wouldn't have many people to talk to.
I wouldn't scare her with this board, though. She might freak totally. My eyebrows have been up in my hair most of the time I've been on here and I'm kind of used to this sort of thing.

That wasn't me was it? This is Austin btw.
who later turned out to be 15...
He was there with his 12 year old son for CCG gaming.

I'm jealous.
I'm 18, by the way.

I think you were one of the dudes that started the pedophile jokes on me, actually. lol.
But stay the fuck away from my sister or I'll castrate you. :P
I know that doesn't make me the youngest, I really just wanted to say my age.

And by cool, I mean non-annoying.
1. MILF's
2. W00t!
16-24 seemed an average age range.

I'm 20; I came with a friend (20) and his cousin and wife (around 27). And it was everything that I thought it could be. And more.
Is your mom around, too? I'd love the chance to talk shop to another gamer-mom.
(She wasn't at the con, of course.)
