How do I rid myself of fever blisters?

Is there any way to minimize the appearance/get rid of quicker fever blisters? Products/remedies welcome.

    as far as minimizing appearance I have no idea, as far as remedy, I love me some blistex. I use it for chapped lips and it works miracles. I used to dip tobacco and that stuff worked wonders for little blisters I would get from time to time.

    There are a variety of options available. Lysine should be very cheap at your local supplement store, if you'd rather not use a prescription drug.
