I went into a room with like ten girls, three guys and most of them had parents.
We were addressed by first the creative manager-type of the school, then the academic theatre director, then the dean of admissions. We were supposed to be auditioning for one person, meaning only one other would be in the room with us.
Three rooms were going with the three people to speak judging auditions - I was the first called for the second room. Stepped in, turns out I wasn't just auditioning for the dean of admissions, but also for the dean of the school and some...guy...that was somehow related. Did my monologues, dean of admissions asked me a question regarding my first one and asked me to do the first half again, then I pulled up a chair and we had a little mini-interview. That was it.
You should have actually described the process instead of this.

What kinda acting you wanna do? Improv comedy? Soap Opera starlet? Action Hero? L&O: SVU Rape Victim #45?
film/stage
C'mon. Get with it.
I am looking forward to, statistically, making ~$20,000/year.
I hope I get in to NYU though. I don't know how well I auditioned (felt pretty good), and I have exceptional board scores, but my super-GPA (across all years) is only a 3.51. Luckily, I managed a 3.95 last year and a 4.8 this year, so I hope they'll count that more.

Man, why you wanna leave college early? Party and beer kegs and date rape and get 'em while they're skinny and all.
Exactly what I keep telling myself. Oh well, can't go back now. I'm pretty sure grad school won't be the same. Just gonna have to keep writing for a newspaper on a remote Alaskan island where 5% of the entire population is my age.

You should come to University of Hartford. They have a pretty decent theatre program.
what kind of crazy shit are they running in schools today
confusing shit.
the worst part is that I came from a school where every single core class follows an AP curriculum but god forbid my new school acknowledge that and weight them accordingly.
Two years of AP classes weighted, two years unweighted.
If I had been at this school all along, I would have a ~4.4 GPA over my entire high school career.
raarrrrgh
I'm basically hoping that my audition was good and that my standardized test scores impress them enough that they can forgive my retarded fucking high school
"hmm yes it seems you have the same GPA as everyone else applying, so to help us decided who we should enrol, please tell us what animal you would be, if you were an animal and why???"
Why don't you just apply to a trade school? You too good to take up welding or soldering as a profession? With your fancy drama and acting and all that.

I sit in class 3 times a week staring at slides and then sit in front of a computer and pump out java code in lab. Wooooo
Yeah, I know.
I much prefer the VB.NET and ASP.NET stuff I do at my internship.
4.8
This is meaningless to me.

ap courses are all weighted, got straight As.
the A in my elective brought down my GPA
Mine were just 4.0 scale. I did get enough college cred to graduate a year early. I'm not sure if that was wise or not.
