PENGUINS CAN'T FLY!
So, fox has a history of cancelling great shows before their time, but the show that was the best example of this was The Critic.
Starring the lovely Jon lovitz;
Who played the tubby, loveable, balding Jay Sherman, which was a stretch for jon who is nothing like Jay who looks like this;
Little background info on Jay. Jay was your average Jewish film critic in New York who continued the tradition hollywood set forth with the honeymooners by getting with a hottie despite the fact that he was short, bald, and a fatty. Also, his voice was gratting and he was a selfloving film snob, but we loved him despite all that.
Also, he sings really good.

The saddest part was Jurassic Park 2 was nothing like that and still had Jeff Goldblum.

Hence all the ABC sucks jokes in the 2nd season. If anything, ABC has a greater history of TV show injustices - they prematurely killed off the Critic AND reboot.
Yeah FOX is actually pretty decent about giving good shows a chance. I loved Arrested Development but FOX was actually doing the show a huge favor by giving a third season as the show's ratings didn't justify it.
Also, reboot sucked.

It's seriously one of the best animated series of it's time.
Great writing, hilarious spoofs, the only problem I could see now is that it's very topical and could lose some humor points if you don't have a clue what they're going after.
But if you're at least 18 you should remember most the movies they make fun of.
I question what Firefly's ratings were and it's viability for prime time. FOX or any other network can't stay in business by pleasing a cult following with new episodes. That's what DVD sales are for.
Maybe I was too old for it but still, fuck reboot.
