CPU 100%

My CPU is currently 100%, I know it's because of an update to my firewall (comodo). My problem is that my computer basically locks up a couple of minutes after start up not giving me enough time to remove the firewall. Are there any quick ways to remove programs?

edit: Also, the main process CMDagent is taking up my CPU but when I try to end it says I do not have the right permission, even though I am an admin on my PC, so a way around this would also help.

Have you tried starting your computer in safe mode?

    Not yet.

Will that stop the firewall from starting so that I can get rid of it?

computer is running much faaster now,

    thank you so much Apothe0sis

but when I start up windows, I get a little message the system config utility is currently in selective / diagnostic mode. Go and select normal startup to start windows normally and get rid of the changes I made. Or i can tick a box saying don't show the message or launch the system config utility when windows starts. Should I do either of these or just ignore it?

    again thankyou

You don't want to run in safe mode regularly, it's got too many things disabled. You just want to use it to fix whatever is going wrong - roll back your firewall or untinstall it or whatever you want. Once you fix that you want to go back to regular mode.
