Companion Cube for Child's Play

Hello All,
I created a model of the weighted companion cube for a silent auction whose proceeds went to Child's Play. I posted a pic on my DeviantArt account:

I was wondering if any one has found an easy way to cut plexiglas cheaply. I use a jigsaw, but that's only accurate to about 1mm at best. It takes a lot of sanding to get the surface even. A milling machine would be ideal, but unfortunately, they're too expensive.
