    For future reference:

    This

    pancake.jpg

    is a stack of what we call pancakes.

    Flapjacks are another word for those.

    We call "crepes" these

    In America, pancakes are flapjacks. In Englandfordshire or whatever, flapjacks go by that other definition.

    I'm not really a big pancake fan. And my syrup has to be real maple syrup. That saccharine Mrs. Buttersworths stuff just won't do.

    Fuck yeah. I'm so sick of that fake pole-syrup they serve at the caf. Real maple syrup is irreplaceable.

    I even did this for Shrove Tuesday:

    I don't know why you have pancake mixes when it's just egg, flour and milk. But then why do people buy cake mixes? It is a mystery!

    It happens to be of the chocolate chip variety. We also would call oreo's "cookies."
