The new forums will be named Coin Return (based on the most recent vote)! You can check on the status and timeline of the transition to the new forums here.
The Holiday Forums are now up. Let me (Hahnsoo1) know if there are any issues. The Holiday Forum merge will last (if Vanilla cooperates) until January 3rd.
You know, I just thought this morning - this is a gaming forum, lots of gamers use xfire, an xfire link in our profiles and a little icon at the bottom of our posts like the other contact links would probably be good.
I mean, I know xfire provide sig banners and stuff for this purpose, but...I guess some people don't want an xfire banner the whole time but might want people to be able to find their xfire profile all the time...right?

Here's a novel idea, when you don't want the banner in your sig, just put a non-banner link.
Yeah, but what if you want other stuff in your sig? What then? tinyURLs only go so far when you've got a limited character count.
Plus...why don't you have all your contact options in your sig instead of using the built in contact features? I get the 'prove it's worth the hassle of implementing' idea. I have no idea how much hassle it is to implement but I could see it getting used considering Xfire is the primary communications application used by forumers wanting to find other forumers who are playing the same game as them.
I mean, if it's just a case of copying and pasting a line of code in the preferences form and poping an extra GIF on the database, it seems like a good idea to me. If it's going to involve taking on fifteen extra members of staff and inventing some new fangled code then I'll stick to the sig banner
