I'm looking at getting a digital camera and from what I can tell, the canon powershot sd850 IS is a pretty good one to go with

What are the differences between it, the SD800, and the SD870 and do they make enough difference to merit getting one of those models instead? Or, is there another camera which you would recommend? I'm looking to spend up to $300 on a camera but can spend more if the camera is worth it.

I'm not sure what the differences are. But my wife and I have had the 870 for a few months and are pretty satisfied with it. I assume they all have about the same list of features.

Our past two digital cameras have both been Kodaks. Never again. We shouldn't be on our third digital camera in 5 years.

Canon is an excellent choice. The SD1000s are very nice and somewhat more affordable too.
