Question regarding self promotion of creative works

I'm a long time lurker to the forums and I had a question regarding self promotion of creative works. My friends and I made a movie this past year and I'd like to share it with the Penny Arcade forums because I think a lot of people would get a kick out of it. Is it cool to post a youtube link to something you created yourself (or were at least involved in)?
