I am getting a brand spanking new porn storage device (Computer to my folks) and I want a good, not too invasive anti-virus.

A free one, or even one I can buy in a store (Prefferably not Norton)

You people are good at this stuff, what are you using, can you recommend i, and are there others you can recommend.

    AVG or Avast

I have used both and both are good and free.

NOD32 I also used for a bit while it was in free beta. It uses less resources and supposedly it is even better at detecting viruses than the above two, but now it is no longer free.

    Definitely don't use Norton though.

I've heard the new Norton isn't nearly as much of a pig as previous versions. However, the joke about the norton virus didn't come out of nowhere. I'll second TechBoy's comments. If you want to pay for something better, get NOD32. If you want free, go with AVG. From the reports I've read, the name brand pay programs are better, but AVG or Avast should be enough.
