Now I haven't had Animal Crossing since the old Gamecube and only played that one a couple million hours. How was the DS version? As I understand it really wasn't quite a sequel and didn't really add too much new content to the game, which I am absolutely fine with as I think the previous game was cool and fun enough in it's own right. How is it though after weeks and months of playing it? Does the game get kind of stale or it is a fun day to day hour long ritual? What are some of your experiences? Do you even play it anymore?
Basically sometimes I do kind of get bored and I think it would be quite fun to just take something out of my pocket and write letters to NPCs or to go fishing, etc. I am seeing online that it still sells for $35 new. Any reason to get new over used or is it just preference? I remember when it first came out people were really excited about up coming holidays and fishing tournaments and crap, I just want to know if the game actually stuck or is it a flavor of the month?

The AC:WW threads were pretty epic back when it was released. A couple years later, most have done most everything they'd care to, I think, though every so often threads like this pop up and garner a few online requests.
I still play it every so often, mind you. The DS version is its own beast, and it's a blast for quite a while. If you loved the GC version, it's a no-brainer. You get a ton of mileage for your cash.

I'm actually booting up the game tonight after about three weeks of inactivity.
Happy Weeding!
No really, I think it's very cool how the residents of the towns ask where you have been and stuff like that. It's just an all around a good time I remember and I am looking forward to going thru the experience one more time. ^^
