I need to identify an old-time comedian...

Solved! Jack Benny, I shoulda known...

I'm rather proud I remembered so much of it...I saw that show a good while back.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have a very dim recollection of seeing part of a sketch, I believe for a countdown show, like the AFI's 100 funniest comedians or something.
[I don't know if it was AFI exactly; this program had the same basic format and premise.]
Anyway, they were talking about somebody, when I think they said something along the lines of "the funniest straight man in show business".
Or something.
Since it was a countdown type thing, they only showed part of the sketch, but from what I saw of it, it is something I need to see.
All I remember is seeing the guy they were talking about, in a set I think was made up to look like a subway or train station, talking to a Mexican guy in a poncho and sombrero.
From what I gathered in the sketch, the straight man would ask questions, to which the Mexican guy would reply with one-syllable answers that started with a "s" sound in a wonderfully monotone Mexican accent.
"Hello, there, what's your name?"
"Cy."
"Cy?"
"Si."
"How are you, Cy?"
"So-so."
"So-so?"
"Si."
...
"Do you have any family, Cy?"
"Si."
[*holds up picture*]
"Oh, she's gorgeous! Is she your sister?"
"Si."
"I'm...I'm almost afraid to ask...what's her name, Cy?"
"Sue."
I'm not sure how much of that was memory and how much I made up, but you get the picture.
Can you help me out?
I'd like to know the guy's name, and, if at all possible, a link to the sketch.
Much obliged.
    According to google, it was Jack Benny and Mel Blanc as the Mexican guy. Here's a photo of them doing the sketch on the Tonight Show. As for the script, here's a transcript of it being performed during a broadcast. If you'd rather listen to it, here's an mp3 from the first time it was performed in 1949.
    I believe, dear sir, that I love you.
    I'm a sort of emcee for my choir's Madrigal show, and I get a sidekick, who may be dressed in a sombrero...if I can find a way to adapt this to fit Medieval times...
    Hmm, seems that mp3 was the entire show and they did variations of the basic idea. Here's one on YouTube.
    Gah!
    I did a little poking around after you tokd me who it was, and that's the very sketch I remember seeing on that show.
    "Gah!" because I was about to link to it...
