Hi! I've worn prescription contact lenses for about the past 10 years of my life. My vision is very very poor >_< (but that isn't the point of this post). Recently I have been thinking that I want to do something with how I look physically to make myself a little more unique / have my own personal flare. I do not think I have the desire/confidence at this point to go with a piercing/tattoo (though maybe someday) however. What occurred to me however was perhaps going with a different color contact lense, or perhaps even a set that has some kind of design involved. I know that such contacts have been around for a decade or more, and I imagine that these days they are much more common. I was hoping to get some input on peoples personal experiences with such contacts, and perhaps some advice on where to do some research/shopping (maybe price range etc). Wearing contacts has never been an issue for me, in fact I love them as I've never been big on glasses, so I thought this might be fun. Thanks in advance!!

I would talk to your optometrist about brands that are high-quality enough for regular wear. A good chunk of the market is theatrical-type lenses that are not safe to wear on a regular basis. I'm pretty sure there are at least a few types of quality lenses that will change your eye colour to another natural colour (or possibly purple, but still looking like a natural iris). I am less sure about the ability to get lenses with e.g. the Metroid lightning bolt or a pseudo-vertical-slit iris effect that are any good for your eyes.
