Any PS2 games featuring LAN play? Coop LAN play?

Two of my younger brothers wound up with PS2s recently (the idea of sharing escapes them). For Christmas I was thinking about buying them a pair of PS2 games they could play against eachother on the home LAN (we'd prefer the youngest not be playing online yet).

Shooters and RPGs (Hack n slash types) are their games of choice.

Anybody have any suggestions? The two of them really liked playing Ghost Recon over the LAN on the Xbox with eachother when I would come home for the summer and let them use my Xbox in addition to their own.

I tried posting this on a few gaming forums, but it appears the PS2 sections are often dead :(

    i think gran turismo 3 had a lan feature, but it's a driving game, so i dont know how far that would go

    I'm pretty sure SOCOM had network play.

    Rachet and Clank, the last one on PS2, I'm pretty sure was very multiplayer heavy.
