1 dozen eggs separated
3/4 cup sugar
1 quart milk
1 quart heavy cream
Combine liquor. Beat egg yolks until think and then add sugar. Gradually add the liquor and the milk and cream while continuing to beat. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form; fold into liquid. Cover and refrigerate for 5 days
Egg nog is one of those things that becomes sickly after your second cup or so. I avoid it in nearly all of its forms, which includes milkshakes and lattes. Any more than a cup for me is just blegh.

But the first glass of the year is hard to drink, so I tend to dilute it in milk until I'm used to it. Once I am I drink the stuff like I'd normally drink a glass of milk.
It's strong stuff, I recommend diluting it every time you have someone try it for the first time. It's an acquired taste.
