Help uninstalling something.

A long time ago I deleted a program without uninstalling it. I saw that it was still in my add or remove programs list so I tried to remove it through there. It asked me for a cd that I don't have, and won't let me uninstall. Is there a way to just get it out of the list since I already deleted it? It's annoying when I go through my list every once in a while to remove programs I don't use anymore.
