If I buy a US XBOX360, will my games which I bought in the UK work on it? I'm moving to the US you see, and while the 360 is too big to bring and will need to be replaced I may well bring some games along if they work.
While PAL/NTSC might pose a challenge to some extent, HDTV signals are universal. I know the XBOX360 can be region free, its just that I don't know if the publishers have uniformly been making this possible. Does anyone know a list of titles which are region free? Most of the lists I can find seem to be highly Japan centric, focusing on US/EU imports of Japanese titles rather than using EU titles on US 360s

Thats the exact list I was referring to unfortunately, it just confirms what I know, that whether the game works or not is totally down to a management executive pushing a button, but not which EU PAL titles work on US NTSC systems.
Amusingly further research has revealed that in a delightful attempt to be annoying HDTV signals arent the same, even though there is no possible reason for the difference PAL countries are adopting a different frame rate than NTSC countries. Arbitrary and useless changes to do nothing but frustrate the consumer away!

Aside from region locks, which is a game to game thing, the UK is PAL, the US is NTSC, so it's not technically feasible.
