Welcome to the Nominations thread for the 2007 Graphic Violence Awards! How this is going to work is that everyone is going to list their top five entries in the categories I'm going to list in this thread, and then we'll get a list of nominees based on a complicated point system
only I know. Also it's not really complicated.
Anyways.
Put your final nominations in
Bold font and put FINAL NOMINATIONS in
BOLD RED TEXT so I don't skip past it. Also, please rank your top five, from 1 to 5, this is important

As for best villain, Sinestro I think definitely ranks I think.
(just single villains jeez)
What about Hulk?
That's also dumb but probably not as likely.
Sinestro barely did anything though. It was mostly Superboy and the Antimonitor that were the real trouble.
The Phalanx, maybe? Ultron and the Hood have both been making moves in Marvel.
Everyone I'd nominate from DC was in the Sinestro Corps.
I was going to say the same thing.
I'm thinking Sinestro, Superman Prime, the Hood, maybe Ultimate Doc Ock and uh...Miek, maybe.
The last two I'm a lot more iffy on. I'd go with Darkseid, but I haven't really been reading Countdown or any of the tie-ins.
Oh shit, definitely the Red Skull. Definitely him.
also all I can think of for best adaptation is spider-man 3
oh, and 300
Oh, and Doctor Strange was pretty good.
Edit 2: I'll just repost this shit with the correct format later.
man does it have to be 5 pics? Cuz on some im pretty fuzz on what to pick.

2) The Sinestro War making me pick up two mainstream DC books on a regular basis for the first time ever.
3) Blackbolt turning all Skrully. You see how much better surprises are when you don't leak them a month early, Marvel?
4) Messiah Complex turning out to be pretty damn good so far.
5) Criminal. I was expecting it to be good, but not this good. It's the best thing Marvel are putting out at the moment.
BEST ADAPTATION OF A COMIC BOOK INTO ANY OTHER MEDIUM
FINAL
Not picking anything here, as the only one I saw was the F4 movie, and that was so-so at best.

Spider-Man 3 was shit. Didn't see Fantastic Four 2, and the fact that they made the abbreviation of it "FF4" should be enough to disqualify it from any award.

Edit: and I'm not sure The Oath belongs in "Best Collection" as some of you are putting it.. don't we have a Best Miniseries category? Seems like that would fit it better.
And Most Welcome Surprise is the best thing to happen this year that you didn't expect, be it a comic moment or a title turning out better than you expected.
It might take some discussion.
(Munkus there is a thread with all the categories around here somewhere)
It was released in a comic book format originally, if I'm not mistaken.
Altar
fucking man.
