Okay, I got some advice here about two weeks ago about a problem I had with me wondering if CD-Keys will work a second time on a computer that has been reformated, so the only thing left on it was the operating system (starting over, basically). Well, now I have two questions for you guys. First of all, how do you do a reformat? Second, I'm not sure how to find the CD-Key for bf2142 (I need it because I lost the manual, but of course I want to reinstall it on my computer after I reformat it.) I took someone's advice and looked in the registry, but I'm not sure where the Cd-Key is. In the picture, I have what looks like the Key open, although it looks too long. I went to Current Users, then software, then Electronic Arts, and then it spiraled down into what you can see in the picture. Is this the right thing; i.e. will this allow me to reinstall the game on my computer when it's reformated? Thanks.
You might want to remove that image or edit it so that key isn't all shown. I'm not sure if that is the cdkey but if it is, you just shared it with everyone that vies this page.
Thanks for that. I didn't really realize that people would use it. Either way, I think now I'm just wondering if that link bobdod posted will actually work to get your cd-key.
