So I just received a new PC for Christmas, but it needs its power supply replaced. That should be done in the next week or so, but can anyone recommend me some good speakers? I'd like to buy them in the mean time - nothing too elaborate or expensive, I don't really want to go much above £50 if at all possible. I want decent sound, but I'm not looking for a surround system or anything; just the speakers that came with it sound pretty crap.
I'll be using them to listen to music and for games, not watching movies / TV or anything.
These are pretty nice, for the money you spend. I'm sure the audiophiles will tell me they're swill. I have a set, and spent even less than they are listed here for. The sub will bottom out fairly fast if you crank the sub volume up, but if you leave the sub itself down to its lower range, it will still provide a decent kick and good overall sound without distorting. For what you pay for them, I couldn't be happier.
