Do XBOX 360 gold accounts automatically rebill?

I paid for my 360 gold account about 6 months ago, I'm moving to the US where it wont work and my XBOX360 is now my brothers. Will my subscription terminate itself after the 12 months I paid for, or will it try and rebill automatically when it expires?

    I'm pretty sure it'll rebill.

If you paid with a credit card then yes it will renew.

(Removing credit card details from your account is a incredible tedious process; it involves waiting several work days for someone to call you for verifying the removal of card from account.)

You can set the rebill period too. Every month, every 6 or every year.

I bought my last year of gold with a prepaid card, and I just got an email saying that it's going to renew in january. I'm not quite sure how it's going to do this, as it's a prepaid card, and I'm pretty sure I don't have a CC on file with them.

I'll probably have to call the damned number to make sure it doesn't auto-renew, right?

My friend has a horror story where he bought his twelve-month prepaid card for Live, and then bought MS points with his CC, and they the used that CC to renew his Live account.

I think you can change your renewal status from the Dashboard but being on a prepaid card myself, I have no idea. But your Live account will still work when you're in the US anyway.

I've heard some pretty horrible accounts of the process of trying to transfer it, which have usually ended in failure. If not madness and death.

I shall send XBOX360 customer support an email, and see what they have to say.

Thats true, I've been looking back at old emails. I still can't find out how to stop it rebilling though, there must be some way!

i didn't get rebilled and i used a code and bought points.

ALSO, if you get rebilled, but don't login a lot during that period, they'll give you your money back. I had got rebilled back in the day on xbox1 Live and didn't know for 3 months. Called them up, explained that i was rebilled but didn't use the service at the time and didn't want it to be rebilled in the first place... got my money back.

    No worries, Sir.

On prepaid "cash cards" or whatever you call them, it'll just fail when it tries to renew, and your account should just drop to silver.

If you have a normal CC or a checking/debit card and don't want to bother with their stupid removal process, go get a prepaid card with the Visa logo on it (since those work the most reliably), throw six bucks on it and replace your CC# with the cash card number. then you can use the money on it to buy points.
