    When I was a kid I wanted to make video games. Then I discovered that you have to be either a talented programmer or a talented artist and I'm not either of those things.

    now I'm considering something more glamorous, maybe along the lines of computational neuroscience or linguistics

    Turns out being an astronaut is tough work, so I'll just start my own company, make billions of dollars, and then use some of those dollars to get on a Russian space mission. Easy.

    Well I know a few doctors and several lawyers whose undergraduate degree is a BA in English.

    My sister-in-law has a BA in English and she's a secondary ed. teacher.

    My boss had a BA in Engish, now she's a hospital administrator.

    So quite a bit actually.

    Well not to dash anyones hopes, but having some doctors and lawyers with weird bachelors degrees is seen because whatever you do as an undergrad you still have to go through med school and law school.
