The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
I thought this title might be more fitting than the last, because Kratos hates fun. Kratos hates everything. Even cute little puppies. And even though Kratos is full of hate, you know you love Kratos. But Kratos doesn't love you back. Kratos doesn't love anyone.
Spoiler
Except his wife and kid, despite the fact that he killed them.
Kratos reminds me of Doom Guy in that awesome Doom Comic, what with all the senseless violence. Kratos isn't quite as thick, though.
The forum was acting up quite a bit for me last night, and multiple threads were missing OPs, but it seems to be fixed now.
Spoiler
The Hades Minotaur fight was really disappointing compared to the Hydra fight. All in all I'd say the game has become better as I progress, but I really hope Ares is more fun.
Hades was rather easy, even the columns. It's frustrating that they knock you all the way down when you hit the spikes, but it only took me about 5 minutes to finish both of them.

That part pissed me off so much. It took me a lot of tries to win that... and a lot of swearing.
Woo, finished. Boy the last fight(s) are a bitch to beat.
Spoiler
Ares was more of a pain than I imagined he'd be, since Hades was made out to be such an awful experience and ended up being quite easy. The first battle isn't too bad - level 3 Blade of Artemis did the trick nicely - but I had to look at a FAQ for strategies for the next two fights. The last battle is more of a trial-and-error fight than it is a challenge, unfortunately. Fighting the massive amounts of Kratos' was also annoying, but only took two attempts.
This is a slightly difficult question to pose, as some overly sensitive folk might consider it to be politically incorrect, but i am still non the wiser as to whether Kratos is a black or white guy. Or is he mediterranean?

Kratos is a Spartan, so he's Greek. But the ashes of his dead wife and child are magically stuck to his body.
Challenge of The Gods #8 is really getting to me...I use Lance of The Furies constantly, but when the Gorgons are by themselves they rip me to shreds because I have a sliver of health left. Tips?

Ahh i knew i had missed an important part of the plot, wasn't paying much attention during the cinematics. I need to go back and replay the game, and buy the sequel.

Now I need to pick up God of War II.
Wait, you fought Ares with the Blade of Artemis? As in up close? Good lord.

You people are too good at this shit.
Spoiler
Army of Hades, get in close, beat the shit out of him. It'll take his health down about 1/4th to 1/3rd, and if you can keep the momentum going (which was the hard part for me), you don't even need to back off.
I nearly beat the hardest mode in GoW1 (believe it was God). Ares? No problem.
However...
Spoiler
Protecting your family? Never did do it.
Oh god that made me so angry, especially considering their fate, it's like why the fuck did you make me do that you prick game?
Someone else pointed out to me the hilarity of using the Circle button throughout the entire game to rip the wings off of still-living harpies, tear men in half, stab minotaurs in the forehead, pop the heads off of medusas and thousands of other atrocities ...
Spoiler
and then the game screams out to you "PRESS O TO HUG YOUR FAMILY!" I can't stop cracking up about it now.
I think I'm really in the minority with the series, but I really, really liked God of War 1, but I really, really was unenthused with the sequel. It just felt like more of the same, or maybe just the ultraviolence shtick is just getting old to me. I ran through GoW1 a few times (though not on the hardest difficulty), but once I was done with GoW2 I just traded it off to a friend with no reservations.

Any excuse to post it.
I just started God of War 2 today.

Or takes on two chicks at the same time.
It was a three-way!
An all-Spartan three-way!
I can play that game too, but I have facts on my side.
Oh really?! Please present them accordingly then!

AT THE COST OF MY MORTAL SOUL I DID IT
And hey, Kratos, if you have seen the intro to the second game, has his own personal ball-lickers.
