Which is a shame really, seeing as how SCW was also such a great event but is lumped in as part of a trilogy with Rebirth, thus dragging it down in my eyes.

You think Hal turning into a murderer, destroying the GLC and trying to rewrite history was a great story?

No, Rebirth was a great story. With a hamfisted retcon thrown in. Emerald Twilight was okay in my book, simply because it took a hero and pushed him until he broke, in what I'd consider a pretty reasonable manner, and ran with it from there (at least, that's how I remember it anyway). It was the Guardians who kept escalating the conflict, not Hal, but then according to Rebirth it wasn't the Guardians or Hal, it was all some master plan by Norman Osborn that made everyone evil, and no one was ever responsible for their actions...

wait, which retcon are we talking about again?

Anyway, Rebirth is the great story that - in my eyes - is clouded by the fact that it involved a retcon which screamed "Lazy writing!" to me.

No, the death was when they made the switch. That may not have been when they were planning it, but they exploited an opportunity. Also, Ultimate Fury is screwed because of Ultimate Power.

No, the death was when they made the switch.

So you're saying Sentry didn't bring her back to life; she died a human, the Skrulls noticed, and they just inserted a Skrull in there with transporter technology or something to make Sentry think he brought her back to life with his previously undocumented resurrection ability?

It's possible, but I'm more inclined to think that she's a Sentry-resurrected human and scared out of her wits.

What? No, they're trying to bring down the Avengers, so her job is to neutralize the strongest hero on the planet, whether because no one trusts him, or they remove his powers, or whatever.

So you're saying she's been a Skrull for a long time, then?

At what point do you surmise she was replaced?

Is her resurrection from death (SHE WAS DEAD) attributable to Sentry using his powers to "make it so" as inferred by the book, or was that staged by the Skrulls to insert Skrull-Lindy?

I'm not sure what so hard about this. Skrulls were watching the Avengers, waiting for a moment to replace Lindy. Then, Oh Fuck! Girl!Ultron! Then they replace real!Lindy with Skrull!Lindy. Real!Lindy is somewhere, maybe in statsis or dead or whatever. (Bob's fucking crazy, she could have just been dying) Now her job is to bring the Avengers down from the inside.

Yeah, I just don't see that. :^: :^: for you if it comes true, but I'm more inclined to follow my own "Sentry-resurrected Lindy is crazy-scared and just wants a damn normal hubby" theory.

Especially b/c she doesn't mention her complete resurrection from death to Iron Man.

It all depends on how much of Bob's "You were dead!" stuff they're tolerating because he's crazy, and how much they actually believe that he can bring people back from the dead.

He pretty much owns that whole dark reality.

Hell, I thought Lindy and the dog were a fantasy creations of his for the first few issues of his own series.

But yes, if he really did resurrect, it's a big power nudge upward, and would guarantee that it's a reason someone (granted: the person he freaking resurrected, who appeared as freaked out by the experience as the Sentry himself!) might come to Iron Man and go "umm, he's really freaking powerful ... and batshit crazy ... you need to do something."

    Questions:

Did Sentry actually kill Carnage in the first New Avengers arc? I don't see how someone would live through being ripped in half...in space, but things are rarely definitive.

Current Venom in Thunderbolts. Why is he eating people now? Venom always liked violence, it's true. However, the symbiote only ate certain organs so he could metabolize the adrenaline from them. Why is he picking the bones of the guards clean in the latest T-bolts?
Other than that glitch, I'm liking T-bolts, great stuff happening there.

    Hold up, hold up.

Isn't Ultimate Power set in the sort-of-the-future timeline of Ultimates 2? As in, it's happening some years after the ongoing Ultimate continuity?

From this we can assume that Ultimate Nick Fury is "currently" missing for some unknown reason, possibly related to being busy being a total bad-ass, then he comes back, kicks ass in Ultimates 2, acts pretty out of character in Ultimate Power, then gets left in the Supreme Power universe.

Or we can take the view that Loeb should never be let anywhere continuity.
