Help Me Create a $1000 Wii Bundle

The thread title pretty much covers it. I've been charged with putting together a $1000 Wii Bundle as a contest prize for a promotion we're doing where I work. This is what I came up with...

Wii System......................$250
Wii Remote x3...................$120
Wii Nunchaku x3..................$60
Wii Classic Controller x2........$40
Wii Points (6000)................$60
Wifi USB Adapter.................$40
Nyko Charge Station x2...........$70
Sonic and the Secret Rings.......$30
Super Mario Galaxy...............$50
NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams........$50
Super Smash Bros Brawl...........$50 (The drawing isn't until April)
Mario Party 8....................$50
Super Paper Mario................$50
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Pr.$50
Link's Crossbow Training.........$25

TOTAL...........................$995

I included everything that I thought would fit into a "Family" bundle. I'm not really sure that the 4 nunchaku are necessary, or the Wifi adapter... but it's harder to spend the full $1000 than I thought! Plus I was trying to ensure that the average home would have access to the full Wii experience; I assume that most people don't have Wi-Fi and/or HDTVs.

Keep in mind that I can't have M rated stuff in here, which is probably why I missed some games that would have otherwise been obvious.

This is supposed to be a family thing? Try Big Brain Academy... My fiance's family loves that game. I'd probably take out Paper Mario for that.

Is the objective of this contest to take this generation's most inviting price point and make it intimidating as hell?

Lemme guess, it was a DM's idea. Right?

    edit: sorry, I've been corrected.

I would take out NiGHTS, and maybe throw in a game that doesn't involve Mario.

    Tiem: it's a contest prize.

Huh? You meant the wired LAN adaptor? At any rate, that's pointless to include.

Replace one of the Wii remotes with Wii Play.

It is ten dollars more, but it comes with the remote AND a game.

Shouldn't that be Wii Nunchaku x4 since you have four Wiimotes?

I think the wi-fi adapter is a good call -- this way even people who can't set up a router can use it. You may want to take out one of the remotes and sub in Wii Play instead; Wii Play and Wii Sports are two of the best party games around. All in all a very good setup.

As urahonky said, BBA might be a good alternative game. I'd also suggest Mario Strikers Charged, which is one of the few games you need four nunchuks in order to play with four people.

The Wii Bundle is just one of the prizes. They're all valued at around $1000 though, so I get to go a little crazy.

I would recommend not to get Sonic and the Secret Rings and 2000 wii points and get Metroid Prime 3 instead

It's a great game and definitely a better display of the Wii than Sonic,

    I also believe it's rated T

    You heard wrong.

It didn't get the best reviews, but the reviewersdidn't take into account that it is, essentially, a ten dollar game. Or, rathher, nine games for ten dollars.

    Bolded with suggested replacements.

I think that they could buy the adapter if they need it, and it won't be wasted if they do have wifi. Plus they'll get an extra game this way.
I may suggest replacing brawl with something else too, but Brawl is awesome and I don't know what would justify replacing it for families that would also be 4 player so I didn't.
I agree with the Wii Play suggestions as well. I know it's not the greatest, but there are some fun minigames in there for 1 or 2 people that those like my wife love to play.

Sonic, Nights and Super Paper Mario, while nice games, ought to be swapped out for something more family-friendly. Maybe Mario Strikers, Big Brain Academy, and Guitar Hero III. Those plus your remaining games should give a nice amount of variety for everyone.

Edit: Or Wario, everyone loves Wario.

If the drawing is in April you might want to look in to WiiFit

Also I'd sub in GH3 and take out Super Paper Mario and Nights. IMO of course but while colorful, arn't really what I'd call family friendly in terms of play

Really? I haven't played WarioWare or the second Rabbids game but I definitely am getting tired of some of the Mario Party games. I do like MP8 more than the first Rabbids though.

Also, I wouldn't put in GH3, because as fun as GH can be, there's a lot of songs/things in there that are not so family friendly depending on the family. I'm not entirely familiar with some of the stuff, but I would not let my kids learn the song "Talk Dirty to Me" or see me playing guitar (quickplay) as a chick wearing a bra for a top and pants.
Yeah, I know it's not offensive, but it's probably not as family friendly as they are trying to make the package. I would save that money and get some different games. Like Wiifit.

Super Paper Mario is not right for this drawing, see my list for all my suggestions. Wii Fit is great, assuming it's out.

Wii Fit, Guitar Hero III, and Super Mario Galaxy all definitely need to be in here. Guitar Hero III is rated teen as was featured on the Today show among other places. My mom, who doesn't know anything about games, was aware of it and excited to give it to me for Christmas without prompting.

A note on the Nyko Charge Station.
Do those things work with the Wii Remote Jackets? I'd personally just get a good set of recharables, the Sanyo Eneloop batteries were on sale (8 batteries + charger + adapters) for like 20 bucks or something like that.

I favour GH3 over alot of Wii Games (For a Family bundle) simply because everyone I know (and all the Family gatherings I went too) thats all people wanted to play. Kids and Parents alike. Might not be rated E but everyone loves it.

Wait, have you been commanded to not include T-rated games, or is this a general guideline?

Because all but the most tight-assed parents would let Zelda and GHIII slide.

Edit: I'd definitely get confirmation, since I think the bundle would suffer without those two.

Hm...the only E rated games makes this rather tricky.

    Wii System $250
    Wii Play $50
    Wii Nunchaku $20
    Wii Classic Controller $20
    Link's Crossbow Training $20
    Wii Fit $70
    --Subtotal $430

    Super Mario Galaxy $50
    Madden NFL '08 $50
    Wario Ware $50
Sonic & the Secret Rings $30
    Nights $50
    Zac & Wiki $40
    Geometry Wars: Galaxies $40
    Mario Strikers $50
    Excite Truck $50
    -Subtotal $410/$840

And then cap it off with 16000 Wii Points! Mwahahaha!

EDIT: If T rated games are allowed, Zelda, Metroid, Trauma Center 2, and Guitar Hero all need to make their way on this list.
