Although I'm on a desktop, I'm using the Logitech Cordless Optical Mouse for Notebooks.
It's a good mouse.. a bit small, but a strong scroll wheel and nice buttons. However, I'm thinking about buying a new mouse.
- What are you using, or what would you like to have instead?
- Any suggestions? I game a little bit.
And the classic Dell stock keyboard. Not the new ergonomic ones, like this:
No, it appears mine is so outdated I can't even find a picture of it! It's just your stereotypical black keyboard with "Dell" written across the top center of it. How are those ergonomic ones, anyway? It looks so cramped, and the spacebar so large.
Post your Mouse/Keyboard specs, provide pictures if you'd like (I know I would), or anything that you're thinking about getting or want to have! Also, if you are up to the task, include price tags on your items.

Horrible. Our Dell PC at work came with one. Just horrible. It doesn't make it any better that it's a french-canadian version which, despite living in a bilingual city, I've never used in my life.
I am using this rather boring and (now) quite aged combo. I don't really like it, but the small, inconvenient round F keys did play a large part in breaking my WoW addiction, for which I am eternally grateful.
World of Warcraft - Calbert, Azjol-Nerub (PvE)
and i have a Razor mouse. don't know the name. but it has a blue glow to it. so great.
I'm using an Logitech MX Revolution, and while it's generally a good mouse, Logitech's SetPoint software is a piece of cock. It insists on setting the wheel scroll size to one line even though I've set it to three (it got so bad, I had to lock the registry keys so the software can't fuck up the scroll size). The mouse is also kind of pointless without the software to program its cooler features.
Well, I do have my eye on the absolute newest mouse/keyboard package from Microsoft which look awesome but are like near $200AU or something. There's also the Logitech ones with the little LCDs which seem pretty rad.
I used to have a Logitech MX518 but it has problems right clicking, so I let my brother have it :P

I want one. I think I may be the only person on the planet who has ever had an old IBM keyboard die on him. There is something about using a keyboard that is so huge and heavy and metal that you could potentially use it as a weapon if the circumstances were desperate enough. My current one is a no-name plastic job that is so much less cool, although considerably quiter.

Not huge, but heavy and metal!
and point with this:
I like them both, lots.
I've got three of these. I love this model.
This. Completely this.
As for what to use, I don't have the model number, but I absolutely adore my Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combo with the rechargable mouse. The keyboard itself isn't much special, but I really like having the buttons for play/pause/stop/next/previous on the keyboard that you can key to whatever media player you like, to say nothing of the volume wheel right in the center. The mouse is getting kinda worn out, but it's been a couple years.
Also, now that the PC is hooked up to the TV, wireless = computer on the couch. Yay.

Yes, a thousand times yes. I wasn't sure if I would like this keyboard when I ordered my new Mac, but it is wonderful. I only wish that the bluetooth version of this keyboard had the number pad. I would miss my number pad.
As far as a mouse, I would really like to get a decent bluetooth mouse, but I haven't found one I really like yet. Currently using an old MS Intellimouse Explorer.
Its nice and small and the Esc and control key are in the right place. (That control position is also excellent for Starcraft/Warcraft ctrl key bindings). It also has a built in usb hub and a dip switch that lets you control some of the key behavior.
Its a Happy Haking Keyboard Lite 2 (HHKB Lite 2) from Pfu (part of fujitsu). They keys are in the "proper" position an old school Unix person would be used to. (Like the old Sun keyboards) Notice the location of the Control, Escape and Backspace (labeled delete). The Pro series are really expensive and are only useful to people that want to use the Keyboard on traditional PC and Sun workstations.
Let me tell you about Demon's Souls....
I bought a new keyboard today (some cheap Dynex one because my old one broke) and I looked at one of these today. They're too small and ugly and the buttons just plain look and feel awful. Why do you like these?
edit: greeble, where did you get that keyboard? It's awesome and I want one.
I think you're going to have a hard time finding a wireless backlighted keyboard, however the Razer products fit the black/blue coloring you want.

I'm not a fan of them because they use keys that are closer to laptop in feel. The Microsoft version looks to use stadium keys.
Huh. I feel the keys give great feedback, and they're quite responsive. The keys themselves are nice and large. The lower angle is nice -- I don't have my wrists bent much. It's like resting my fingers on the table. The backrest also has Apple's USB ports, which are great for plugging in USB flash drives when necessary.
That's about it. It just feels good to me. I've gone through several keyboards over the past year trying to find a make and model that really felt comfortable for me. This one was it.
What's so great about it? I'd have bought a Logitech by now if there weren't a dozen different types, all close to identical. I don't feel safe asking the people at Office Max about their recommendations, either.
I only have the mouse in the OP to offer. It's a wireless USB mouse and I'll be damned if it isn't half bad. It's nothing special, just a compact mouse that does its job.
Now for video games.. there has to be something better., and I just don't know what that is.
and the MX1000 for a mouse
The G15 version 1 is also blue backlighted, though, again, not wireless, and the new G15 is orange backlit. The Microsoft Wireless Desktop 8000 has a wireless keyboard that is blue backlit, but it's really, really expensive.

Me, I'm currently using a G15 version 2 and a G5 version 1.
It's a bit too pricey though. As much as I gripe about not buying input peripherals that cost more than $50, I end up getting them anyway, because I'm a toolbag.
It's not black but it is wireless, backlit and has a matching mouse. Here.
I just got mine a few weeks ago and it's freaking AWESOME. I'm not using the matching mouse, since I prefer my Logitech G7, but the keyboard is tits.
It is damn sexy though, I'll admit.
Also, I just went shopping locally for keyboards and mice, and nearly everything I could find in this town was going for double what newegg charged. Where have you guys had the best luck getting peripherals online?
