I'm not going to sugar-coat it. The reason there's a second UK Bargains thread at all is because of LewieP's excellent work in the first. Do him a favour, visit
his website, buy some stuff using his referral links. He works hard for us, but unlike a prostitute he doesn't get paid for it unless you use those links.
Anyway, back to the main event:
IT'S THE MOTHERFUCKIN' UK BARGAINS THREAD, BITCHES!
The price gap between American and UK releases is gigantic. Like, as big as my penis would be if I had a large penis. We're paying double for these fucking games. Luckily, some of the fine retail establishments out there, online and off, decide to lessen that gap slightly every once in a while by giving us sweet deals, and we try to take advantage of that.
We also try to help
you take advantage of this shit as well. It's a loving community.
Some places to look:
Hot UK Deals - All the latest shit is up in here, dawg.
Google Product Search - Before you ask here about a title, try searching for it using this fine piece of technolojizzle. It's
dope.
So sit down, get comfortable on some kind of bean-filled resting device, or maybe just a chair, and wait for the deals to roll in.
Posts
As it's the first page I'll mention a couple of decent sites I know of...
EDIT: Turns out I only know of http://www.find-games.co.uk/ and thats not brilliant. Always worth a try though...
2009 is a year of Updates - one every Monday. Hopefully. xx
Oh, and LewieP, because I know you'll be seeing this thread at some point: I emailed your mum, about a painting. What are the chances of me hitting gold here? I read her posts, and she seems like a lovely woman.
New thread already worse than the first one
Owned.
Plus you know we cant actually post any deals until page 8 and onwards.
That's about it really.

I don't think my Mum has actually recieved that many emails, at least on friday night she hadn't, I think lot's of people are assuming she will be innundated, so leaving it for a bit. She has every intention of doing as many of these paintings for people as possible, so unless something comes up, I fully expect you shall be getting one, there may be a bit of a wait though. I think she wants to make a thread showing her WIP peices, so keep your eyes peeled.
hahaha

Anyone know if a code from a kit from the US would work over here?
I didn't get anything much other than clothes* but I did clear out HMV for some truly awesome bargains, my favourite being Mighty Boosh Live for a whopping fiver.
*Seriously I am so in so much debt now it's not funny.
And anyone spotted any kits on offer?

I've actually thought about it, but I have no contacts, and way too many things to do to even entice the idea of spending time hunting down bargains.

Lewiep mentioned something about PC World price matching certain stores, even online stores. May be worth digging around!

Cheapest I can find is £29.99 delivered, but that's not much of a deal at all.
I don't know how much Toys 'R' Us do it for, but I found it for £112.
Also Auto Assault for 98p cracked me up. If ever the price of a game was a true reflection of its worth, this would be it.
Auto assault wasn't terrible, it's just no one wanted to pay to play it.
Agreed so hard. I don't know if it's just internet shopping (and particularly my brand of internet shopping) has imapcted my expecations of sales, but I was very dissapointed by highstreet sales this year.
Is Auto Assault not the vehicular combat/racing game that was an Xbox 360 launch period game? What am I thinking of?
Auto Assault was the MMO car combat title for the PC. The servers got shut down quite a while ago if I'm not mistaken hence the price diet.
Also, thanks much for the tom tom price! However, my bro just found a bundle off amazon for a whopping £99!
wowzers
Hmm, a friend of mine enjoyed it, and it got 71% on gameranking, seems like it would have been worth it for a quid. Seems I was thinking of the wrong game though, never mind.
Wow, I sure wish I hadn't spent a lot more than that on a satnav for my dad before Christmas. I think that's blog worthy if you don't mind?
I guess not, cheers. ;-)
Also - yay!
