Only got PSP this Christmas, so I'm playing Wipeout Pure and the in-game option for downloads seems to be buggered. It appears to just take me to some generic playstation website, very muddled and no options around to download anything.
The website www.wipeoutpure.com seems to be buggered or not offer the downloads anymore either.
Where/How can I get the content onto the PSP and used in the game this long after release?
I got the downloads for Pure quite some time ago, but I remember having to register an account there before wipeoutpure.com let me download anything from their website.
The registration details for your PSP should be in the box itself.
From there just download the files to your PC then transfer them over to your PSP via usb. yourpsp.com should have details on there about which sub-folder to put the files in as I don't have my psp on me at the moment, but its a pretty easy thing to do.
Once theyre in the right subfolder, boot up the game and the new content will be waiting for ya.
I already have a PSN account from a PS3, but the site won't let me log into it for some reason. Maybe because it appears to be EU region only? There's no Canada or US on the region selector at the top (UK is default).
I can log in at the US PSN website. I got the network downloader there to install on my PC for use with the PSP.
It seems 3 of the download packs on www.wipeoutpure.com (visited with teh PC) are no longer available. The others I was able to download to the PSP when it was in USB mode.
I still want to know why I couldnt do it form the PSP though.
Yeah I'm still at work at the moment, but if you haven't gotten them by the end of the week, I'll happily throw all the downloads in your direction. The Puma craft are pretty badass.
I found the rest of the content on some psp hacks site and got it downloaded...
I'm still wondering when you hit "download" in the game - what website it was supposed to go to...
Cuz it really looks like www.yourpsp.com is a PAL market website.
Also I can't get the Puma craft or Omega pack or stuff like that apparently. It wasnt recognized by the game I think cuz it knew it was for the EU market only.
PSP UMDs are region free, so it wouldn't make much sense if they made the downloads region locked. Who knows *shrugs* Its a pretty fantastic game on its own, just watch out for that difficulty curveD:

Is that the site it was always supposed to go to?
Also, did anyone ever figure out a way to get the Omega pack in a north american version of the game?

I would have thought too that if you could get your hands on the content it would work, but I tried and it doesnt show up in the game.
