So, we have a wireless network in my house that no one uses. We used to have a laptop, but it bit the dust, so we have this network for no reason.
I also have my 360 in my basement in the room next to the internet routers. Normally I just steal the really long ethernet cord and drag it over to my 360 when I want to play online. This is a pain, but I've gotten used to it. It's mostly no good because that cord is used to connect two of the 3 computers in the basement to the internet.
So, I have decided to look into wireless for the 360. I have tried setting it up with an extra wireless router we have sitting around, but apparently you can't use it as a bridge (it's a D-link DI-524), which sucks because we have it for no reason. So, I also have an O-Xbox wirless bridge lying around (I may have lost it in moving, though), would that work?
If none of this stuff pans out, are there cheap wireless bridges I can purrrchase? Or am I better of shelling out $20 for that 50 foot cable from gamestop?
I always prefer using wired solutions, when possible. But many places, like game stop and best buy, rape you on the cost of cables. I've heard good things about www.monoprice.com. I just checked, and they have 50 foot CAT 5e cable for less than $7. If you can't find your wireless bridge, I'd just buy one of their cables.
Although, 50 feet seems like a lot, you may be able to go for 25 feet. That would only be $4.

If so, it should work, it's on the list of supported devices.
If it works, awesome.

I could swing that.
