Best case-mod ever! (portable Dreamcast)

The vast majority of custom-built game consoles are not so aesthetically pleasing, but this DCp (Dreamcast Portable) could almost pass as a SEGA-made system. Featuring a vacuum formed case, LCD screen, and stereo speakers. Best of all, it runs off of just two 7.2V 3Ah R/C car batteries for maximum portability.

looks bulky as hell.

I never actually owned a Dreamcast, so I don't share the same affection for it many people here do, but I figured someone would get a kick out of seeing this.

    That's what I thought when I saw it. Not so much the speeds, but if he's gone to all that effort, could at least put something over the disc to protect it.

    What is up with the shit-ass Playstation-style segmented d-pad? Nasty.

    Although, I really want to see the case cracked open to look at the insides. That should be interesting.

    Seriously, that thing is ugly. The Dreamcast was a nice looking console. He should have at least used the same colors as the controller. The black buttons and stick just look wrong.


    I should buy some more games for my Dreamcast.

    That's pretty cool, but I think my favorite case mod is the wooden SNES.

    The only thing good about that is that the creator improved the D-pad. It's a crappy PS2 d-pad now, but it's still an improvement.
