ok so i have an idea for a Fruit F*cker usb drive or atleast harddrive mod.
now what i really need is an idea/method/voodoo spell to make the usb end of a hard drive flexible enough to be part of the flap on his groin. if anyone knows of a way to remove the end from the chip/board part and solder wires to the appropriate usb end part please let me know.
and as well other possible ideas the Fruit F*ucker form can be used in mods.
Frag them first, and let the Respawn sort them out.

The usb end of a flashdrive is fixed to the board. it's not connected by wires to the rest of the flashdrive. Thus if i were to adapt the usb end to be part of the folded out part of Fruit Fuckers "groin" area, I would need to modify it. Basically i wanted to make a hardware mod for a usb flashdrive that looks like Fruit Fucker. I just wanted it to come out of the front not the top or bottom of him. Thus it would look like he's fucking the usb port and living up to his name.
I didnt say Fruit Fucker at first in case someone might be offended. lol

They make USB humping dogs for laptops. They don't actually do anything but hump. Maybe you could mod one of those? Or at least cannibalize for parts and ideas?
Tofystedeth See that's what i was thinking. I've just been trying to figure out how they do that without...you know...actually buying one.
Thanks for reminding me, now i just need to find a good dremel set again.
wunderbar Yeah sorry about that i didnt notice it till afterwards.

looks like a motor, and a straight beam with notches on it. The gear on the motor pulls the beam with notches forward until it runs out, and the beam falls down, and then eventaully hits the gear again to get pulled back up.
the legs are attached to the beam, so they move forward and up, then fall and move back, simulating a humping motion.
Thats the easiest way to think about how it would work, but I seriously suck at trying to generate stuff like that
It's a bad idea to try to use the ports or cables from a device that only uses USB's power. You're likely to find that the connector or cable only has leads for the power and ground connections, with nothing for data.
Just get the cheapest USB2 extension cable you can find. Either just plug the flash drive into the female end of the extension cable, hide this inside the body of your Fruit Fucker, letting the rest of the cable dangling out to the end of the male connector.
Or, you can shorten the extension cable to just the length you need. Cut the cable about 2 inches from either connector, then strip it. You'll find some wire netting on the outside, some insulation, and then 4 conductors: Red, Green Black and White. Pull the netting away for the time being, but don't cut it off.
Solder each of the 4 wire pairs together. It's easy, green to green, red to red, etc. Make sure you insulate each wire from the others (electrical tape is your best friend, here.) Then pull the wire netting back together, and solder that together. I know this is only supposed to be shielding, but for some reason, cables I've done before without soldering the netting together didn't work as well.
When done, insulate that, and hide it inside your Fruit Fucker, and do whatever you like with the male end of your shortened USB cable.
I've used a similar technique in the past to convert oXbox extension cables into USB cables, so I could use my oXbox controllers on my PC. Just disregard the yellow wire in the Xbox controller cable, and you'll be all right. Although I don't need those cables anymore now that the XBox360 wireless receiver and controllers are out.
The problem with the fruit f*cker thumb drive is that the juicer portion it humps with is in the middle of the character, so the drive would not fit in most computers properly, unless you had it sitting down or something....

you lost me there.
Also, just call him Fruit Fucker.

Can't help you either way, as I'm no computer engineer. Maybe use a small 2" USB extension cable?
