Thank you, MegaMan001 - I've been up to Whitehaven again, as my Aunty finally died on Friday, a blessing really. I'm very tiredas the driving is hard.
And thank you, Nanaki, I'm happy with the sky, as well.
I'm hoping to get some painting done tomorrow.

Glad you like it, MegaMan001, as it's yours!
I'm still sewing - 2 flower girl dresses made, 2 more to go. I'll hopefully get some painting done over the weekend, once I've finished the dresses.

My girlfriend has been sewing me operating room scrub caps for work. It's very cool to be able to make such beautiful things.
Oh, also, LPM - your painting ability has grown by leaps and bounds. The FF7 painting when compared to The Colossus you made me, what, three years ago? is breathtaking.
Of course, now this means that when I patronize your work again (circa May 2012) I'll be able to show your evolution as an artist in my private collection.
At last!!! I've had time to paint - the flower girl dresses took ages to make - I had to unpick them completely and then source fabric as they were damaged, cut and then re-sew them. the bride was very happy with them though, so it was work it.
Any way, I've spent a blissful morning painting, then I've applied for a job this afternoon. The application is nearly done, but I'm stopping now to post here, and then chill for a bit.
Here's MegaMan001's FF VII painting a bit more done:
McMonkey commented about it on twitter - he was shocked to see no gun in the image - clearly Patrick had more sense than to ask for that! I'm hoping to get a bit more done tomorrow, then I'm off to Eurogamer this weekend, in London. Its not a patch on PAX, but I'll get to play a few games, complain about the pigging boothbabes from Nvidia again, meet some lovely devs and a few PA people as well. Win all round!

I've painted again today - its been lovely, a couple of hours in the morning, a couple more this afternoon. Its such a good de-stressor. I've also had some good news - I have an interview on Thursday for a new job!
I went to Eurogamer on Sunday last week, had a lovely time: met up with Sean from Hello Games - Joe Danger and http://www.hellogames.org/2011/08/joe-danger-the-movie/, played Joe Danger: The Movie, its great!! Also met up with Terry Cavanagh, who made http://thelettervsixtim.es/; he's also very lovely. They've both said I can paint something from their games for Child's Play, so that's that sorted

Yes! I've painted nearly all day, I'm soooo chilled now! I've had a challenging time at work this week, its lovely to have finished and just paint. Tomorrow I'm prepping for a presentation for another interview - didn't get the job I interviewed for last week, but by the end of the interview I wasn't sure if I wanted it anyway, so no loss there.
I'm going to do a Child's Play painting next, just as soon as I've sourced the image I want to paint - its from VVVVVV, and will be the level you have to complete all in one go or you fail, its tall and thin. Hope that makes sense, and if anyone can find a link for me, that would be fab!

Thank you, Antithesis, and yes, that's the one I mean - I want to paint a tall thin image of the whole level, but I've yet to find an image - I think I'll have to try searching for Veni, then Vidi and then Vici, and see if I can join them up. I just wish Terry hadn't done so many stripes! (not really, its a great game!)
Also, I've had a rubbishy week at work, and as I don't like painting in artificial light cos I can't colour match well enough, I decided to do a quick Child's Play drawing, ready to paint in the next couple of days - I have an interview on Friday, so need to prep a bit more, so I'll paint Friday afternoon, I think.
This has taken about 2 1/2 hours to draw - some silly football game was on, so I could draw without feeling I was neglecting LewieP's Daddy (who got a job yesterday!!!!)

Haven't been around in a LONG time, (Life kicked my butt this past year) but wanted to come in and check out this thread. Doesn't disappoint, your work has even improved over the past year! Love it!
Thank you Phthano, and thank you Scotty and welcome back, hope things have improved for you!
I've not been around for a few days - CFS being horrid, compounded by a very long train journey around the north of England with my mum for her birthday - I've not been out for almost a week. However, I've started the Prof Layton painting - my camera has decided to not work as well, so this is off my phone, and isn't great quality, in fact, its pretty rubbishy, but better than nothing!

LPM I can already tell even before this Layton is done...I WANT ONE.
I really liked your last (that I recall) Layton painting, and am looking forward to seeing this one finished!
So, I've had a challenging few days CFS-wise, but seem to be OK for now. I think the mega train trip I did with my mum for her birthday was the icing on the cake, but I managed to go out for a short while today. I played some Burnout tonight as well, so I must be doing better - I'm utterly rubbish at it, but its apparently good fun watching me, and at least my opponents get to think the're good drivers!
Anyway, I've nearly finished Hitman, I'm still having to use my I-phone camera, sorry!:
Yes! I've got my camera working again!!! I took it to Jessop's, and the very lovely man there told me I'd been using the wrong type of battery - for the last 5 years! I was using AA, but I apparently needed AA with a wrap around to stop them moving about in the camera - £12.50 later I have a fully functioning camera. This means I can update Hitman!
I should finish this tomorrow, then I'll be doing some more on the Professor Layton painting for Child's Play, then it will be the next person on the list!

Absolutely amazing, as always. LPM, the donation is on the way. I'll post pictures here once the latest work arrives. The only question is where to hang it?!
Eid Mubarak everyone! I've spent this weekend celebrating Eid with a visitor from India we have staying with us for a couple of months, so no further painting has happened. Hopefully I'll get some done on Wednesday.

Here's a bit more of Prof. Layton - I've started the buildings. I need to get this one done quickly, as a) it needs to arrive in Seattle before 8th December, and b) I have a G&T Secret Santee painting to do as well. I may go quiet on the posting front til that one is done!
As one of LPM's many, many fans on these forums I have had the opportunity to patronize two works over the years. I finally took some photos of both hanging in my apartment. Please excuse the blank white walls, these are on my 'art wall' which contains all of my favorite works but I wanted to focus on LPM's specific works.
Here is the first work I got. It's a Colossus from SOTC, which is a great game that everyone should purchase and play, especially now that the HD version is available on the PS3.
Now here is the second work I just received. It's an image from one of my favorite cutscenes in my favorite RPG (first played when it came out and I was young and impressionable, but it's suck with me) - FF7. The colors are absolutely breathtaking.
And here they are, side by side.
As always, LPM, your talent is impressive and is growing by leaps and bounds. Please put me back into the queue and I'll gladly take another.
EDIT: I put the images back to links because it was doing awful things to my H-Scroll.
I'm so glad you like it, and you're absolutely right, the difference between the two is marked. I remember feeling really happy with your SOTC painting, as it was the best I could do at the time, but seeing them together, I can see how much I've progressed, so thank you for posting both images.
I hope that doesn't come across as boasting, cos I'm not, I know I've got a long way to go.
I'll add you back in the queue, MegaMan011
