So, I recently did a major overhaul fo all the computers in my house, basically built a new computer for the wife, rebuilt my HTPC and reinstalled Windows Vista on all 4 computer (2 ultimates and 2 Home Premiums, at no cost to me
)
Problem is that my HTPC will no longer playback the XviDs I've made just the other day... Xvid that worked before the reinstall....
So, I'm wondering if perhaps someone might be able to explain what's missing? I've installed the actual Xvid codec, and the Vista Codec pack (4.56) and I get nothing... I also installed AutoGK which was the utility I used to make the files, and still nothing....
Thoughts?
Windows tries to play them, loads them but it doesn't actually play forward, it just sits there on the very first frame... I can go in and tell it to go to another frame, and it'll go there, but just sit on that single frame again and not actually PLAY... and only on the newer ones....
Seems to be a Media Plyer issue of some sort... Nero Showtime will play it, but MCE wont and neither will WMP11 (Which are both the same engine, I know).... I watch ALL videos through MCE... thoughts?
