I finally got my computer fixed by reformatting it. Now however when I try to access the hard drives of other computers across the network, I get an invalid host name error. I have never had this issue before. I am running Windows Vista.

Sharing in Vista is a bit different.... You need to go into the Network control center thing and make a few changes accordingly in there to make it all share properly....

A bit screwy, but still easier than XPs randomness...

What version of Vista do you have?

I have an XP and a Vista machine hooked up, so its possible.
