The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
I usually have nothing to do in the first weeks of May, and have decided to spend them in New York, this summer, instead of in front of my TV. Then I thought of wrangling some of you along and turning into a PAX thing, and Will said he's a definitely up for it, maybe.
No details in here yet, because this is also a planning thread. So, who's up for NY in May?
I have unfinished business on the east coast and depending on who else gets involved I may schedule it so that these things all coincide in a wonderful party of fantastic proportions. Also, totes = totally, just as deets = details and sitch = situation. They're all from the same family of flambogay/teengirlspeak.
a.) Would this be entirely a social gathering (like, a meal, and that's it) or would it be event-centric?
b.) Would you be willing to accept a relative newbie to the D&D?

Hey, maybe. May is a cool time to go into the city.
And double Organichu's questions for me.

I could probably take the Fung Wah or Amtrak down, depending on whether I want my vehicle to catch on fire.
And yes Hakke and Organichu, both of you are welkes. (That's "welcome," by the way).
Where would everyone be staying? I have a brother in Rye who might e able to put me up, but then again it's like two hours from the city on the train. What sorts of things could we do in NYC? It's not really my town so I'm kind of unfamiliar with how to get something like this together.
Anyway, NYC really does have an absurd amount of possibilities, Will. What kind of activity were you thinking? Sports event, movie, etc.? Location isn't a huge priority because of how comprehensive NYC's metro system is. We could get anywhere in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, or the Bronx with little trouble and on the cheap (I think it's $7 for a day long metro card).
I think the main limiting factor would be price. What kind of stuff could people afford to do?

I don't know either, so I'm waiting for the New Yorkers to make suggestions.

Anyways, Mikeman, Nexy, Var, Drez and whoever else lives in NYC or NYCLite should probably try to figure out how this whole thing could go down - maybe find out about some hotels on the subway line that aren't too expensive, things we could do together while we're out there (I assume without costing too much money because while I have a job, the rest of these poor fuckers probably can't rub two dimes together). Also, do not under any circumstances suggest we go see an Andrew Lloyd Webber musics because seriously I do not want to have to stab another human being.

A miniPAX is basically a handful of dorks from the messageboard getting together.
Fuck that noise, and fuck everyone who's going. You all fucking suck.
He said he would be only if it was in December. Because then it'd be in the optimal temperature for his specie.
