Brain Training-esque game for PC?

Question: Does anyone know a game or programm for the PC that is similiar to the Brain Training series on the Nintendo DS (preferably, but not necessarily, with a german version)?
My father was asking me about this today, as he expressed some interest in the sort of games where you solve small logic puzzles & exercises for about 10-20 minutes every day, and that tracks your progress. Unfortounately, the Brain Training games on the DS are not an option, as he believes that the screen is too small for him, and he hasn't used a DS before. I was also thinking about Big Brain Academy for the Wii, but I don't know how well the game compares to it's handheld counterparts, and I'm not sure if he'd really play it regulary (he hasn't held a Wii remote in his hands yet either).
So, any ideas?
