Finnished this last night. The main duo are now away from their pursuers and decide to settle down for the night and in doing so a new phrase is coined...

The style is pretty cool. Very newspaper comic-ish. I can defintly tell the scenario they are in.

My main suggestion would be either add more frames or cut dialogue. The words seem to overpower the images where they should not. It makes it harder to follow the story and know whats happening.

I did notice you used a couple of interesting angles, but the last half could use more flushing out. Again, I have a hard time reading the action past the first look. I found myself having to look over it a couple times just to read that. I think limiting the dialogue or adding more frames will help that.

Other than that, I think it has a lot of potential. Good job.

That's difficult as there's 42 pages of backstory before this. Pages that have self contained scenes are rare.
It's all at www.smugglingvacation.co.uk if you have time to give it a look.

Very Nice. I don't know if it's just my monitor, but you could adjsut your curves/ levels a bit more so that all your black is, in fact, black.

really cool man, i had some time to read the beginning, some parts are kinda confusing(like, is his brother's friend calling the cops?) cause its so fast paced, but you pull it off. i like how the bad guys are not complete cunts and have a cool personality, ill read some more later.

Yeah, early on his mate does call the cops - he's a registered police informant for Customs and Excise.

You single comment has pinpointed the achilles heel here that I wasn't aware enough of. Important as I'm printing this soon. Have since printed off the tiff files onto paper and am making alterations on the blacks on some 45 pages, as you pinpointed.

    - As you're from Belgium - can you see readers in Belgium being interested in this strip when I print?O_o

Glad to be able to help!

The strip could very well hit off in a european market, the style reminded me of some older comics here (like Petit Spirou http://membres.lycos.fr/bdaucdi/planches_series/petit_spirou.jpg or Kramikske
    http://www.dirkstallaert.be/afb/kramikske2.jpg.

But foreign comics usually only sell well here once they're a huge hit in their country of origin i guess.
