I call him Prince because he has no name. Prince of Persia...I guess they were just too lazy to think of anything else. Anyway, back to the topic.
Come on. He talks non-stop when I'm trying to play. When I'm slaying a demon or stabbing an Indian man; I don't want to hear your life story when I'm doing it. I want to watch the cutscenes leading to the events; I don't want to hear how you felt at that moment. You have a nice voice actor, that doesn't mean I want to hear it all the freaking time. Either get laid while you still can with some evil demon lady or the pretty girl in red herself, or shut the fuck up.

I like the Prince too. At least in the first one. I think the storytelling in PoP is really good.
I liked him because he wasn't a chivalrous hero all of the time. He told the girl to shut up quite a bit, and I respect the company for making a more human main character.
I've only played 3 of the PoP games, and he's has varied from a great character, to an OK character.
In the first game, he was great, really nice animation, although kinda not much there, since the story was done in a very 'of the times' minimalist way.
In Sands of time, he was quite likable, if a little cocky.
I avoided Warrior withing based on forum consensus.
In The Two Thrones, the dark prince was pretty cool, but the price was a winy bitch.
I don't know what he was thinking in the second game. Killing himself due to some cryptic message that probably meant "kill people that try to take the flame". Then he went to a non-regulation chess board that was over a giant spider.

Loved him in the first.
The second game I haven't got past the first boss bitch. She killed me 3 times. That wasn't the point (I love Ninja Gaiden and it took me a day to master the first level) I just lost patience with is generic rage. Seriously every time I broke in to a run he'd yell "RRRRAAAAAAGHHHR!" and it got worse in a fight, yelling and foaming at the mouth. What the hell. I swear if DVDs wore out, the "RRRAAAAGHHR" sound file would be worn out by the second level.
I own all three but don't wanna play the third until I finished the second. Not sure it matters story- or gameplay-wise though.
This storm shows us no mercy... we will respond in kind!
Warrior Within was such a shitty game. Between the seething generic rage and the seething generic Godsmack there might have been a decent game struggling to get free, but I didn't play long enough to find out.
They took a good platformer and then XTREME'd it up and added some shitty metal and made the main character swear. Basically they Shadow the Hedgehog'd the Prince of Persia series.

It doesn't. The intro of Two Thrones explains what happens between SoT then quite nicely, and in fact, uses the alternate ending from the second game, which would probably confuse the hell out of you if you didn't get that one.
Einhander: Hah I forgot about the shitty metal in the middle of the Arabian setting. Never seen the style of a game ruin good gameplay mechanics like this.

And I really have nothing else to say to this topic, other than lawlnewguy

Consider something other than video games.

Yes; but I find it annoying to have to listen to it again when I die and start from the save point.

Ditto. I was going to argue that if he was, he got it from his father, who is a much bigger one.

Well, yeah. It may not be the first (or even the second) in the franchise but you could argue it's the first in the series. Or something.
It's going places.
