So I finally got a PS2 slim and upgraded from my old fatty, but now I can't get it to connect to the internet. I have a broadband connection utilizing an ethernet cord from my router to the PS2. Here's where it starts to get fishy:
I used the disk that came with the PS2 to establish an internet connection and I did that and it transmitted my data to register. So now for some reason I can't get a connection test to pass ... what happens is that I try to connect and my test always times out, but if I leave it go for a few minutes then it says the connection test was successful, which makes no sense ... but if I try to do this for a game it doesn't connect whatsoever.
I'm using the network adapter (obviously) and am connecting with DHCP (not PPPoE) ... what's my issue?
