Digital Input 2.1 Speakers?

After getting fucked int he ass by the marvelous Logitech X-540 Speakers I went commando and ended up with this set up:

soundcard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829153001

headset: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826153002

As you can see, the headset uses up a special jack mutually exclusive to the two barracudas.

This means I'm left with optical/digital jacks to use for speakers, I'm rather frustrated with 5.1 at the moment, so I'm looking towards a 2.1 pair and after calling creative and klipsch I'm not having much luck finding any, so I'm wondering if you glorious bastards could possibly help me find a pair?

Will this work when it hits? Am I just fucked up or something?
