As far as the BJ Shea show goes, their best bet would have been to just completely avoid the show because the dude is a professional asshole that hosts a radio show for assholes to listen to. I don't say that with animosity, just a statement of fact that it is his job to entertain assholes by being an asshole himself because assholes are the target demographic of the show.

The Townhall site is hilarious ... its like if you need concentrated Rush Limbaugh or Bill O'reilly and somehow FOX news isn't fulfilling your requirements for bullshit.

He's essentially an ill-conceived rip-off of Howard Stern and is so far removed from being funny, engaging or not-stupid, it's fucking painful to listen to.
I'm not exaggerating. The whole 'bj shea morning experience' is a train wreck.

Townhall is worse than that. It's like a bunch of guys that couldn't get jobs at the Weekly Standard or National Review coming together to bitch about how people like Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter aren't conservative enough.

It can be amusing to listen to if you're amused by hearing an asshole talk to other assholes saying stupid crap on the radio. I have a friend that enjoys listening to BJ for this very reason. He's not an asshole himself, he just finds it amusing how fucking stupid the show is and will just have it playing in the background sometimes.

This reminds me of how my dad and brother listen to conservative radio shows just to yell about what they say. I am bewildered by both of these phenomena.

I've been amused by it at times. But i'm not (strictly) an asshole.

you are the worst gay, Nev
Yeah, there was an article about it the other day.
I admit I listen to BJ in the morning on the way to work because it makes me crack up. BJ will argue about anything and everything and will ALWAYS blow things out of proportion until someone corrects him.
You should have heard him the other day when Chad Eaton didn't show up for an interview. BJ went on and on about how pathetic it was that Chad didn't call to cancel until Double-R realized that he had left his cell phone in another room and then discovered there was a voicemail from Chad Eaton saying he was sick and couldn't come. Ha.
So... yeah. Those guys always go on about how they are geeks and love Star Wars and videogames, but they're really just a bunch of immoral beer-guzzling sexists who think they are all high-and-mighty because they have the microphone and everyone else has to dance to their turn in order to be heard.
I have to admit it's entertaining though.

the funny thing is he usually crows about how great Chad Eaton was... or at least did when Chad would be on the show at least once a week.
But yeah, his job is just to get a reaction from people, which can be amusing in small doses.
He's definitely more tolerable than Leykis, whose entire concept is on "fuck chicks and don't do anything for them, they are things."
I may be gay, but jeez. Even I think that's a bit much. =P

Yeah, BJ is pretty horrible. I sometimes flip to other stations when Adam Corolla is on commercial have caught a little bit of BJ's show now and then. He's just a two-bit wannabe shock-jock. And for some reason, they have some dude in the background laughing like a retard at literally nearly every sentence BJ speaks.
Also, I have been known to tune into Michael Savage once in a while just to laugh about how horrible and ludicrous he is.
Yeah, he was a horrible addition. Adam needed a sports guy who had his own occasional bit. Instead he got a co-host wannabe who had no bits of his own and instead stepped on everyone's toes.
Basically, I really liked Dave Dameshek.

Danny just sucked up to Adam the whole time.
It's funny, I never liked Adam on Loveline or The Man Show, but on the radio, he's golden.
(Yes, I know Loveline started as radio, but I only ever caught the TV version.)

Are you talking about the one the current comic is about, or the one from a while back?
Maybe it's just me.
I don't remember the details, but it should be in the archives somewhere.
Well, you also need reading comprehension skills exceeding those of a tomato. That could be the problem here.
is that the strawberry shortcake comic one? or something else?

He makes jokes about it all the time. Hell, the slogan for the show used to be "Once a day, you deserve a BJ."
I'm just glad they got rid of Bonaduce.
