[SOLVED] Weird Firefox Sorta Disconnecting Problem

Recently I've started to get disconnected when trying to view specific sites in firefox. It happens 100% of the time when trying to view these specific sites, for example the latest Nintendo January newsletter for Canada, when I try to look at it in gmail in firefox it will load up the text and the links but the pictures won't finish loading. After this happens I am then stopped from doing anything else online, disconnected from MSN/ventrillo/etc. While this is going on and I still can't connect to anything I can still do an ipconfig and I get back an ip no problem, but I'm unable to even go to my routers setup page. During this whole ordeal my nice little connectivity icon in the systray doesn't change a bit.

After a couple minutes the issue resolves itself and I can surf happily as though nothing ever happened, though the pictures never do get loaded in my Nintendo email. If I go back to my inbox and go back to the email, bam disconnected again.

This has also happened with my Universities career service webpage, but I don't think it will be much help to link you there since it's only when I log in that I get the problem.

When using IE7 there is no problem whatsoever. It's also not MSN/ventrillos fault since it has happened when I was not running them.

List of stuff that might help:
Vista Business 32bit
Firefox 2.0.0.11
Belkin Wireless G router (I am using a wired connection)

Firefox addons:
Adblock Plus
All-in-One Gestures
Better GCal
Better Gmail 2
Better YouTube
del.icio.us Bookmarks
DOM Inspector
IE Tab
Linkification
Search Marker
Tab Mix Plus

Well crap, you have a lot of Firefox extensions. Start Firefox in safe mode (through the start menu or by running firefox.exe -safe-mode
See if it still does it. Disable all the extensions, enable them one at a time and see if things change.

I don't believe it - I'm on my THIRD PS3, and my FIRST XBOX360. What the heck?

Thanks, tried safe mode with all extensions disabled and the problem still exists. Why would I go through and turn them on now?

Well, you wouldn't. Not if the problem's still there in Safe Mode. The other obvious thing I can think of to try would be to update the Flash player, but at this point, I'm not sure if that would help either. This is a weird problem, to say the least. Is Firefox up to date as well?

Stupid question, probably, but you cleared your cache, right? Also, worst case, you can always uninstall and reinstall Firefox. Export your Bookmarks, etc, and just start over.

Clearing cache didn't help, same with updating my flash player.
My firefox is up to date but I'm going to do an uninstall/reinstall of firefox now.

OK, uninstall/reinstall magically worked, that's cool. I have no idea what could have been the problem. Thanks for the help, now how do I go about changing the title to solved.
