Hello All,
I'm posting this to get a little list going on fighting games that we don't get here in the glorious U.S. of A. I'm talking about all those doujin 2D fighters you see in videos on GameTrailers.com and other such websites. And it doesn't even have to be doujin fighters from small, indie game companies, but also larger games that never came here. Hakuto No Ken (Fist of the North Star) comes to mind.
I'm starting this list because I'm getting a rekindled passion for fighting games after several very good purchases over the last few months. Virtual Fighter 5 online, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, and Bleach: Blade of Fate. Plus, with news of a Street Fighter 4 and Super Street Fighter 2 HD Remix, my fighting fingers are itching again. It helps that I also bought a Hori Fighting Stick EX2 for my X360, and the fact that it can also be used on a PC with no hassles is an added bonus.
(MAME time!!)
I would really love to see these fighters released here in the U.S. Most of these games are released for the PC, and I don't see how it would be difficult to port these over. We have many avenues to bring these here. Regular retail comes to mind, but that's a big risk since these games are for a real niche market. Live Marketplace comes to mind, or even PSN. Heck, I would be content with some sort of Gametap-like service where we can download these games and play online to our heart's desire.
Anyway, here's a list of games I know that are out there (but we can't play
) that we definately deserve.
Acho Arcana Heart
Big Bang Beat
Melty Blood
RumbleFish
Hakuto no Ken
I'll increase the list as I see people post more.
Long Live the Fighter!
