I feel really out of place asking this here... maybe i am... can we talk about movies? I DONT KNOW WHERE ELSE TO TURN.
There is a film i am remembering through the blurry haze of youth, i saw it numerous times on the movie channels in like 1991 and thought it was amazing. Basically it was a giant robot fighting movie... no i havnt seen one since.
But they were scheduled fights, as far as i remember they were 1 on 1. It wasnt all lasers and guns, there was a fair bit of grappling, and i think one fight hinged on one of the characters ability to deliver a suprisingly powerful kick.
Maybe i am just getting voltron and karate kid mixed up... Does this sound familiar to anyone?
Bonus movie question; I remember another movie premise where a dude was a boxer in an intergalactic federation and fought a bunch of aliens in the ring. There was also a game like this on Snes i believe, dont think they were related.
