A good friend of mine has a birthday coming up and I'm trying to think of something decent. We're both geeks and majored in bio (specifically Biochemistry and Molecular Biology).

I'm looking for anything below 50 bucks. Shirts, pens, biology related stationaries need not apply.

    Herpes?
Granted, a stuffed STD might not be right for everyone. But how many people can say they got Herpes for their birthday?

A plush companion cube? It's related to science and practically made of geekiness.

I saw this once, but never really pursued it further, but it could be entertaining - http://custommice.etsy.com

The Screwtape Letters, read by John Cleese.

Might come to over $50. The one I ordered came to over $50 with shipping, and I don't think they get made any smaller than the one I got (unless we're talking about different plush companion cubes).
