My roommates and i would like to make a power hour DVD consisting of short 60 second movie clips. What i need to know is how to capture the clips into a format that can be edited on Final Cut Pro 4. Now i know how to edit on Final Cut fairly well, my problem is only obtaining a program to be able to capture the DVD clips with. This i dont have all that much experience in so an easy program would be best. We had done it a while back on a PC with fraps or a similar program. I'm basically looking for something that works for mac and i can just put the DVD in, hit record, and have a decent quality clip in .mov format so i can edit it on Final Cut. Free would also be great. Thanks in advance!
