I've been running into some problems with my ID lately, namely my driver's license. I got it promptly at 16 and since then I have grown my hair out, grown a beard, and my facial structure has matured. This draws an exclamation every time I pull out my ID, “Oh wow you’ve changed†to “This really doesn’t look like you†to, at airport security, “I’m going to have to get my supervisor to look at this before I can let you through.â€
Can I simply go to a DOL/DMV office and get the picture updated for a fee? I’m well short of needing it renewed.
I'm not sure what the costs are associated with this, but I think this is a legitimate reason for it. Your state's DMV website might be able to shed some light on the situation.
At the very least, most states offer a state ID card for people who choose not to drive but need proof of identification. They usually cost less than $20.
Yeah just hit up a DMV and they can update your card for you. Nominal fee for the cost of the card.
But if you dont live in AZ right now, you are going to have to jump through some hoops to get another states drivers license. A couple bills and a paystub, I think.
